This article discusses racial profiling by police. The underlying study found that police in Victoria were more likely to use their discretion to stop a racialised person (defined as Aboriginal, African, Pasifika and Middle-Eastern/Muslim appearing people) than a white person. Police in Victoria are more likely to subject a racialised person to unjustified post-stop conduct (e.g. search) than a white person.
